When you use NextGen OCR, we may collect the following information:

• Authentication Data: Email address (when you sign in via magic link). We do not store passwords.
• Uploaded Images: Images you upload for OCR processing are processed in‑memory only and are not stored on our servers. For browser‑based recognition (free tier), images never leave your device.
• Usage Data: Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., number of OCR requests per day) tied to your user ID for quota enforcement. This data does not include the content of your images.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your email address solely for authentication purposes. Usage data is used to enforce fair‑use limits (daily quotas) and to improve our service. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

3. Data Retention

Uploaded images are processed entirely in memory and are never written to disk. Immediately after processing, all image data is discarded. Authentication tokens are managed by Supabase and are valid for a limited time. Usage counters are retained for the current calendar day only.

4. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All communication with our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. The free tier processes images entirely in your browser – your images never reach our servers. For server‑side processing, images are held in RAM only and are never stored persistently.

5. Third‑Party Services

We use Supabase for authentication and database services. Please refer to Supabase’s privacy policy for information on how they handle data. We may display advertisements via Google AdSense; Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated usage data at any time by contacting us. Since we do not store your images, no image data can be retrieved or deleted.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
